Reo Mangareva ("the App") is a language-learning app for Mangarevan. This policy explains what information the App handles.
Information We Collect
Language preference and lesson progress
The App stores your selected UI language and your lesson results (scores, completed exercises) locally on your device using standard device storage. This data stays on your device and is not linked to your identity.
Anonymous device identifier
The App generates a random identifier on first launch, stored only on your device. If lesson-sync with a remote server is enabled, this identifier is sent along with your lesson results so progress can be associated across sessions. This identifier is not derived from your device hardware, is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information, and cannot be used to identify you personally.
No account required
The App does not require you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, or photos.
How We Use Information
Lesson results and the anonymous identifier, when sent to our server, are used solely to keep your learning progress available and to improve lesson content. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties.
Data Storage and Retention
Local data (language preference, lesson progress) remains on your device until you delete the App or clear its storage. You can reset your progress at any time by uninstalling the App.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no account or personal information is required to use the App, it may be used by learners of any age.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
